The Maxlife Youth Project (registered charity no 1101523), is based at Kingston Wesley Methodist Church on Holderness Road, Hull, and has been in operation since January 2004. The Project has experience of running a range of activities including school support sessions, after school clubs, fun days and holiday clubs, camping trips, recreational/residential trips and activities . Other activities have included music, journalism and graphic design workshops, healthy eating and cooking courses, self defence for women, and indoor sports tournaments. We employ two qualified Youth Workers, a Project Manager and the project is overseen by a Board of Trustees, all of whom have enhanced CRB checks in place. The Project is compliant with all legal requirements, and has a full range of policies and procedures.
Maxlife works in partnership with many local community and youth organisations including, Hull City Council Youth Development Service, Child Dynamix, Taboo Youth Initiative and has representation on the East Hull Alliance Delivery Partnership, Hull & East Riding Faiths Association, and United Youth Transforms.
The facilities at Maxlife include a designated youth room with information including training opportunities and events, cooking facilities, hall space for indoor sports, photographic equipment, laptops and a recording studio.
